Camp Cottermouth

Camp Cottermouth, situated on 20 hectares, about 10–15 minutes drive from Parliament House, educational and other attractions, provides a relaxed country environment which makes people want to come back.

Wake up to the sound of the bush birds—magpies, kookaburras and others—and the sight of kangaroos grazing around your cabins. There are spectacular views and hectares of rolling ground for exercise and fun, and after dinner there is space for indoor activities in the dining hall, or the chance to relax on the verandah or around the grounds.

We accommodate up to 96 students in eight ensuite cabins containing between 10 and 14 bunks. Two cabins and all shared facilities are fully wheelchair accessible. The Camp has teachers’ ensuite cabins for their accommodation. Separate ensuite single cabins are available for coach captains. All accommodation has reverse-cycle air conditioning.

Our facilities harmonise with the environment and reduce our environmental footprint. Of course, the buildings are constructed to stringent fire-safety regulations.

Catering is by a fully qualified chef and the meals are superb. Special dietary requirements are catered for. If camping is your school’s thing the camp accommodates up to 1000 students in the camping area. (BYO camping gear).

For accommodation with a difference, where your school is usually the only group in residence, your coaches can park at the front door, well off the road, your students can let off steam in safety and where your needs are catered for, Camp Cottermouth is the place to stay.
